If you moved to a new home because you changed job locations or started a new job, you may be able to deduct some of your moving costs as an adjustment to inocme.

How to deduct moving expenses?

You must first determine whether your move qualifies for the adjustment. If the move is a qualified move, you then determine which of your expenses are deductible and the amount of the deduction.

You claim the moving expenses adjustment on line 26 of Form 1040.
